...they sang at me. They found out it had been my birthday, so they sang at me. I almost made it out, too. *Scooby-Doo villain voice* And I would have gotten away with it too if it weren't for your meddling supervisory email! I never enjoy this, and it is my goal to merely endure it with a modicum of grace.

Aaaaaand speaking of things I nearly got away with: I got selected for jury duty at last. And because of my reporting time, I'm going to sneak in a few hours at work before I have to head to the courthouse. Because that's the kind of lifestyle I'm choosing to lead...

My gods, I do not want to go be in that courthouse with people.
