The flower fields out by the highway bent and swayed under the touch of a strong breeze. Autumn flowers, all orange and gold and misty twilight purple, nodded their heads along with the messages that wind whispered in passing. Those driving by could sometimes catch snippets of gossip, as could the eventual buyers of any flowers cut from those fields.
