Tune In
It's been a while since I've done this, in part because I haven't been listening to or watching anything of particular value for a while. While sick, I just watched a whole lot of Youtube videos. Anyway! Highlights:
Tarot for the Wild Soul #58 (Monthly Medicine: January is Live Your Magic): Getting back into this one again. I'm also going to loop back to the first episodes, in the hope that I can get read in on some of the terminology. I just find this one strangely compelling, and I want to understand.
Alone in a Room with Invisible People #27 (Goal Setting and Goal Keeping): New year topic. Honestly, a lot of this is stuff I've read in Holly's classes and essays before. But damn if it isn't like sitting down for tea with an old friend every time I listen to this.
My Brother, My Brother And Me #440 (The Naming of 2019): They named it "Become the Beast," and I just. I am so into this. I don't even know what that means, but yes. That's what this year will be. It's been so long since I listened to any MBMBAM, and I had forgotten what a good, weird time it is.
Books, also:
Make Time by Jake Knapp and John Zeratsky: It's very tech bro in a way. I say this as someone who does not own a smartphone, who therefore could skip rather several of their suggestions. That being said? I found it incredibly helpful. It's done a lot for my sense of purpose and control over what I do with my time.
The Ruin of a Rake by Cat Sebastian: Yeah, no, I know I'm reading the series out of order. It doesn't matter, and this was the one for which I had Arsenic fic to look forward to. I did not merely enjoy this, I want to dissect it until I understand every bit of pacing and development so I can imitate it.
