Today's Keyboard Smash
I'm hyper-aware that this weekend needs to be as much weekend as I can get it to be. Next week, I'll be working a full extra day, after which I will necessarily have to recuperate in order to even survive the following week. I have so much reading to catch up on--it's tabs for days in my browser right now. I need to get Halloween preparations done. I need to rest, and I am not unaware of the irony of "rest" being listed as a chore that needs to get done. That's pretty much how we roll right now.
Tomorrow, I'm making my yearly trip to my favorite apple orchard. I will buy an absolutely obscene quantity of fruit and local honey and jam. I will obtain more apple cider than I can reasonably store. It will be glorious. Possibly I will post pictures of the bounty.
After that? I think I may take the weekend off the internet. I mean, maybe I should plan on taking off the weekend when I'm going to have fewer days off. But really, I just need to be able to jettison some requirements this weekend. My brain is closing in on overheating territory. (Maybe frozen cider pops will help with that. Worth a try.)
