I have obtained desperation earbuds, because mine hit the point of actively disintegrating during work today. :/ I have also obtained a form letter as proof of employment in a critical industry, to be used once that is a category of people eligible for the vaccine. After all the fuss and carrying on with their absurd survey of our interest in getting the vaccine, I suppose this really is all I could expect. An email from HR and a two-line form letter designating us as Important People really is the rock-bottom least the company could do to look out for our health and safety, and they have once again lived down to my expectations.

Apropos of another somewhat peculiar follower notification over on the Lewisia tumblr, I do sometimes wonder if any real humans are behind the accounts. Lewisia gets a lot of travel and nature blogs as followers--the sort of blogs that give off a distinctly bot/spam vibe without being the usual bait-and-switch-to-porn type. Kayaking enthusiasts. That sort of thing. Do they...understand that Lewisia is--how to put this diplomatically--not the sort of place one can book a trip to with a travel agent? I remain baffled by their marketing choices.
