Mmmm...having a flare... I am now composed entirely of grey slime liberally studded with loose gravel. I have no brain, just a series of semi-connected sensory organs, mostly designed to seek water and avoid light. My life cycle consists primarily of seeking out small pockets of damp earth in which to nest.

What am I talking about? I need to sleep. No one give me access to live machinery.
