Today's Keyboard Smash
I had a very long, elaborate dream last night, in which I participated in some kind of cross between a LARP event and a ghost-hunting reality tv program. At one point in the process, when things were not going well, dream!Joyce said, "If my stats drop low enough, I have to continue as myself." [As opposed to the RPG character I guess I was...inhabiting? Performing?] This seemed at the time like an incredibly profound insight into life; waking!Joyce has absolutely no damn idea what it's supposed to mean.
I'm just going to be over here, thinking blithely of this bit of dreamtime nonsense, instead of thinking about how one of the counties just south of me is returning to indoor masking. Instead of thinking about how much it feels like things are sliding out of control again. Instead of thinking about what round #mumblty of this is going to look like and what it will yank out from underfoot this time.
