Pandemic Garden Club
Welcome to the January edition of Pandemic Garden Club! Growing good things in strange times!
Anyone is welcome to comment with what they're growing right now, things they would like to try, problems they're encountering, and questions they have. Share resources, answer questions, shout encouragement.
As for myself...
We’ve gotten rain. We’ve also gotten mornings of 20 degrees. It is properly winter.

And yet, the narcissus have decided it is time to do flowers. I can’t remember which variety these are and therefore which planting they might have been from. I still live in hope that some of the alliums are just...waiting...a long time.

Most importantly, though, it is once again the season for Fungus Posting.
I ordered seeds from two different companies, neither of which I’ve done business with before. I got an assortment of flowers and foodstuffs from one, mostly novelties.
The other is bulk wildflower seeds and related stuff. I’m going to give the wildflower field a booster this year. I haven’t put any new seed down on it in...a couple of years now, I think? I regretted not doing so last year, since we ended up with so much rain and everything grew so aggressively. I’m hoping to get even a fraction of that again this year. But since I went to the trouble of getting seeds, I’ve probably somehow doomed us to a completely dry year. :/
