I have the difficulty of being in a rural area that is considered a hassle to go to, as it's not on the way to much of anything else. So getting services of any sort out here can be a problem. That being said, in the area I used to live, the local vets all organized to cover for one another so that somebody was always available for emergency calls. No one seems to have done that in this area.

This is the price we pay for keeping any pet--some day, we have to say goodbye, and often we have to make the decision of when to end things.
