Messages from the Garden

The macro lens attachment for my camera, which was a birthday gift but needed to be exchanged for a different size, finally arrived. All of the tiny things, let me show them to you!

Succulents first:

a flower stalk in pale shades of pink and green
Graptopetalum pachyphyllum

chubby succulent leaves in bright green with red accents
Jellybean plant, a sedum sp.

succulents clustered together with false "spiderwebs" growing on them
Sempervivum arachnoideum

a starburst succulent whose green leaves are just tipped with red
Sempervivum sp., possibly 'Royanum'

Then trees in the orchard:

a pale pink blossom, flanked by unopened buds
Peach blossoms, convinced that winter is over and getting ahead of themselves

leaf buds just starting to open
Leaf buds are a more seasonally appropriate choice. That uppermost one reminds me of Yoda, and now I can't unsee it.

bright yellow-orange lichen on tree bark
Just some very colorful lichen on one of the mystery trees

And a friend in the grass:

a ladybug climbing up a blade of grass

a ladybug crawling amongst grass
I am enormously proud of how these two turned out.

Thank you! I'm glad the company's good, that's always a good recommendation.
