Today's Keyboard Smash

Rain! All day, grey and drizzly and cold and rain! I am very pleased by this. My disappointment persists, however, that we only seem to have rainy days on my work days. I do not wish to drive in the rain. I do not wish to sit in a climate controlled interior room while it rains. I want to be at home, cozy, possibly baking. Ah, well. At least I had a very nice view to look at on my breaks.

The trapper-turned-adventurer always insisted a full bank account in town would be small consolation when you died shivering and afraid for lack of weapons, gear and food in the wilderness thanks to your penny-pinching. Hikers who encountered his ghost did admit he cut a very fine figure in all those reinforced fur coats and crisscrossed sabers and muskets. As it turned out, a well-attired ghost was itself small consolation for refusing to listen to locals when they said the forest didn't appreciate hunters coming in uninvited.
