Today's Keyboard Smash
Mar. 9th, 2021 05:04 pmWell, either my work earbuds are dying, or I went spontaneously rather deaf in my left ear. Possibly both. They're just very shitty earbuds that came with the mp3 player, but I actually rather like how they fit. Well, in my left ear, anyway, because nothing fits in my right ear properly. I just need them to limp along in vague functionality until the work week is over.
Buying earbuds and headphones is one of those shopping chores I irrationally and intensely despise. I was already mad that I'm going to need to buy bluetooth somethings to use with the new iPad, because some goddamn brain specialist decided that removing the headphone jack was an incredibly important design choice. So now I'm doubly annoyed. Two! Two sets of earbuds to buy! Damn it!
I'm considering buying them from a local store and either having them shipped or doing a pickup in store option. I don't want to have to wander around, trying to decide what to buy. But I also hate the idea of just basing my purchase off pictures on a website. But at least I would be able to buy both of them at the same time. But then I have to wait for them to arrive or become pick-up-able.

I actually had a pretty decent day at work, so I'm just reflexively blowing something out of proportion so I can be mad about it. Although, and I cannot stress this enough, I will actualfacts die if I can't listen to at least music while I work. Mortal minds were not built to endure such tortures.
