Today's Keyboard Smash

Mu. Hu. Ha. Fucking. Ha! SUCCESS! I have succeeded in my sneakiness. About a month ago, I mentioned I had set myself to possibly accomplish a sneaky nice thing. That thing was taking a day off in the middle of the week for my mum's birthday. I didn't say anything to her, mostly because I did not, by any stretch of the imagination, trust that my boss would not bully me into coming in anyway at the last minute. And I really didn't have a good feeling about it today, because there were site-wide tech failures that put us all behind.

No matter! I escaped unhindered. I am, perhaps, irrationally and excessively pleased about this. Small pleasures, though. Not to be underestimated.
