He tuned the radio carefully, letting the car slow until the few other vehicles on the road at that late hour all rushed past him. He thought he heard, amid the static of a channel not quite coming in, the familiar voice saying some unfamiliar bit of drama against a backdrop of peculiar music. It might be Grace Lee Invents Radio, appearing on its eponymous medium for the first time that he knew of, or it might just be an illusion of stations blending into one another for a few miles.
