Today, we in the Lake Lewisia region commemorate the ending of the Rabbithole Wars, in which so many brave and distractible children found themselves embroiled in the conflicts of imaginary kingdoms. Though it is named for the most famous of these lands, the fighting in fact spread through regions found at the bottoms of wells, inside disused furniture, and behind the moon. The lakebed of Lewisia itself saw battles on two occasions, and several prominent citizens in the town’s history claimed the distinction of having come of age--or not, in one permanently unaging case--during those strange years.
