Nightlight subterranean cherry

Price: 1 chorus/packet (approx. 150 seeds)

Technically unrelated to ground cherries, themselves a nightshade unrelated to cherries, subterranean cherries grow in potato-like clusters below ground. Bioluminescent; juice will temporarily light up teeth and hands. Very firm and even crunchy, with glowing yellow-orange skins that make harvesting feel like a treasure hunt. Flavor is sweet-tart, often compared to melon. Must be planted at night, as direct sunlight on the seeds will destroy them.

I wish these were real! My nightperson self appreciates the idea just on principle, and I get a kick out of the bioluminescent juice idea even if I can't see to appreciate it. My nieces would have a blast with these, too! They're a gardening family, and I bet they'd put some in. Darn worldwalls...
