Seeking volunteer dawn watchers to cover for several of our staff who are currently out sick. The sun is still young at this time of year and has been struggling amidst foggy skies to begin the day as needed, but dawn watchers can help keep it on track as it learns the routine of making a day. Anyone interested can report to the observatory staff at the Beacon House for training, shift assignments, and protective eyewear.

Well, another thoroughly pointless follow-up with my rheumatologist. Asked me out of the blue if I had my thyroid checked at any point. (Yes.) Offered zero explanation as to why he brought it up, beyond "well, it's connected to your autoimmune condition." Is it? How can you tell? Please, elaborate, you maniac.

Got to sit and read a book while waiting for him to show up for the video chat, though, so that wasn't a total loss.
