“Keep your money, okay, just--we’ll see what we can do.” Her partner waited until they had disappeared back into their car and driven away from the marshy area of the lakeshore and the pair of figures there, before he gave her a skeptical look that she shrugged off. “I know we can’t bring people back,” she said, holding one fragile swamp creature scale between her fingers, “but maybe I can hunt down something to help.”
