Lake Lewisia #245
Oct. 3rd, 2018 05:07 pmThe first rain of the season came as a surprise, a fluke shift in offshore weather systems, and it left him scrambling for his go bag in the damp and dark hours of the morning. He barely stayed on the road for all his craning looks up at the sky on the way to the forest, hoping enough rain would fall before the storm broke up, hoping he would get there in time. The mushrooms would begin growing immediately, and the fairy rings they formed would only stay strong enough to transport a human for a short time.
