So apparently, my dad has also noticed that the traffic, both on the highway and around town, has been much heavier this week than since the lockdown started. Things were remarkably...lively? Lively implies that anyone seemed like they were pleased to be out and about, and they just really didn't. But boy were they out there anyway.

The reason I was out and about myself, apart from needing to fill my gas tank, was:

Pizza!

I decided it should be pizza night for us. Because my beloved hole-in-the-wall pizza place hasn't shut down, and I would like it to remain thus. It is still just as disreputable-looking inside, still staffed by the same two pleasant people, still a reliably tasty pizza.

We don't get food out very often normally. But one thing I'm finding is that I really want to be a regular at places going forward. I want to have a routine (never a surprising response from me) that includes getting food from little places where they remember that this is the day when I will be there. It was always nice, when I worked in the restaurant, to see the people who you knew would be in at a certain time or on a particular day--provided they were pleasant people. It seems like it would be nice from the other side of that equation as well.
