Today's Keyboard Smash
Jul. 11th, 2020 06:23 pmOkay, so! I now have Able Sisters, which means I went and got the free trial of the Nintendo online whatever it's called to use the codes for all the cute custom designs I've been bookmarking. Also, I finally got enough wasp nests to make the honeycomb wall and floor items, so my bee room is one step closer to being a (virtual) reality. And I started moving all the rare flowers I've unlocked onto the weird island-within-an-island that is the reason I chose this map when I started the game, so secret garden is also taking shape. My virtual world is good beyond measure today.
My real and actual red hot poker plant is sending up flower spikes, which I saw for the first time today. We haven't lost any more pumpkin plants since the gopher traps were put in.
I grilled some pineapple, just because we found the grill pan again after it being packed away for as long as we've been up here. We're making pizza tonight, and I bought the fancy mozzarella to add to it.
My car came back from the mechanic, who fixed the problem easily and cheaply. He sent the car home without us even paying for it because he was too busy to make up a bill but he trusts us.
Sometimes things are just small and good and packed together tightly enough to blot out all the badness, a protective thicket of leaves and hope.
