Done This Week

Three weeks down. Two days of work left before my vacation. I s2g, if they try to bully me into canceling--

On the one hand, February is almost certainly going to be more of the same, as far as the day job goes. On the other hand, I'll take the month off from Lewisia, as I traditionally do, and focus on writing longer pieces. I might even--*gasp*--do the work needed to publish some finished work I've got lying around. So I'm hesitantly looking forward to that? Is looking forward to things a bad idea?

Lewisia: 0 new pieces written, and I'm not even sorry. I'll get caught up.

Gratitude journaling: 35 new entries

Tumblr queue: 35 posts added

Day job: 54.5 hours, which is moving in the absolute wrong direction from my sanity's point of view

Gardening: ordered from the other two seed companies I'll use this season, received shipment from the first

Reading: finished The Long Way to a Small, Angry Planet

Other: met up with mum's friend for a distanced coffee chat (and to hand off a gift) that, in retrospect, I absolutely was not comfortable with and will not be repeating any time soon

Signal Boost: Rose and Bay Awards nominations

I think there's a lot of overlap between people reading me and people who will have already heard about this elsewhere, but it's time for a signal boost! The Rose and Bay Awards celebrate crowdfunded creativity, and nominations are open for the 2021 categories.

I'm guest hosting the Fiction category. Come nominate your favorite fiction projects that rely on audience participation, tips and microfunding, and other forms of community-driven support.
