He hadn't said anything to her when they started dating--about his collection of Grace Lee Invents Radio vinyl, about the trips to search vintage stores and yard sales for more, about the few friends who were the whole fan base of the mystery creator--until a song broke through the static in the car. Before he could react, she had turned the radio up and started belting out the words along with Grace, words he didn't recognize in a song he never heard before. "Oh, it's off the 1987 album," she explained when the song ended, which was five years earlier than the earliest album he had ever found himself.
