Today's Keyboard Smash
Apr. 24th, 2021 07:04 pmI have the attention span of a sugared-up gnat at the moment. I nonetheless patched yet another pair of work pants, one of my face masks, and another holey tshirt. I also spent a long time out in the garden, watering and staring mindlessly into the flower-filled middle distance. I have a lupine blooming.
We're talking about making a wind and sight break out of trees and native shrubs. Between that and fixing up the tractor, my budget mainly consists of agricultural equipment and plants. Periodically books. Am I living Stardew Valley yet? (Goodness knows, I've got the crusty farmhouse.)
Despite the weather being in the eighties, I have spent the entire day freezing to death. I'm not sick. I'm just very cold. I keep getting muscle cramps from it. I feel like this work week, despite being extremely easy on most counts, has killed me off. I mean, I worked an extra day, so there's that. But I'm just shot. I think that's why I'm sticking to gardening and sewing, rather than, say, writing stuff I need to--not a lot of brain needed for watering and mending.
