Today's Keyboard Smash
May. 27th, 2021 05:23 pm*adds yet another hashmark to the "fucking engineers" tally board, slowly and whilst making intense eye contact*
Anyway! I am now in a 17-hour crunch time to get as much done as I can before I get my second vaccine shot tomorrow. The most important thing, the thing that absolutely cannot fall through the cracks, is that I need to revise and ready for posting the June bonus for Lewisia. It's written, thank goodness. It just needs to be, you know, made right and proper. I also need to write this week's new Lewisia pieces. Possibly I also need to put together some bread dough--I am unclear on if I am doing that this weekend or not.
This is by no means all the stuff I want or need to get done this weekend. But they are the things that must happen and require a certain amount of both brain function and uprightness. Neither of which seem guaranteed post-shot.
I am aware that the severe household-wide sickness immediately following my first shot was simply a particularly cruel coincidence. But it does have me feeling a bit...uneasy. Also, I'm currently having a flare, so my joints already ache and I have limited energy. So I'm just going to operate on the assumption that dose #2 will knock me on my ass and that everything after Friday morning will consist of staring insensibly at comfort videos and napping in a dark room all day.
If I'm wrong and I feel fine, hey, great! I will have the whole rest of the long weekend in which to...well, actually, still probably consume a lot of comfort videos. But also possibly plant many things and read and play games and generally exist like a person capable of holding their own head up. I just want to keep expectations about seventeen feet underground.
