scrubjayspeaks: hand holding pen over notebook (done this week)
Planting has begun in earnest, now that we seem to be past the last of the true frost. Planting is also the only thing not currently filling me with existential dread. That's not even entirely true, because I'm terrified that the seeds we saved from last year won't actually germinate and nothing will grow. And considering I feel like my entire will to survive currently hinges on the promise of getting to lie down between rows of corn again this year, I'm rather invested in this working out.

They're pouring on support for me at work, which is a) very nice of them and all, and b) genuinely necessary to ensure we keep functioning. But what no one seems to properly grasp is that the extra help just means I can make some strides toward knocking out my backlog of unfinished tasks. I'm still having to work as hard as I have been; I'm just no longer falling even farther behind whilst doing so. So they sometimes seem surprised that I have not acquired a new sense of chill despite this outpouring of support. *helpless shrug*

Lewisia: 4 new pieces written

Gratitude journaling: 35 new entries

Tumblr queue: 28 posts added

Day job: 42 hours, which means *gasp* I didn't pick up ANY extra hours???

Gardening: planted the ornamental corn and the first of two areas of sweet corn, plus companion sunflowers and marigolds for both, repotted the cabbage and Queen Victoria agaves, which are arguably the stabbiest of my children, and broke off some pups to add to the in-ground plantings

Listening: obsessively listening to the Murderbot audiobooks on loop, like you do
