Done This Week
Jun. 26th, 2022 08:49 amWell. These are interesting times. Nothing like a little existential dread to liven things up...
Covid recovery continues apace. I still get winded more easily, and I've got a whole sinus situation going on. The stress of work managed to ramp up my energy enough for me to get things done, but I'm pretty exhausted all the rest of the time. I've got some memory and attention issues, but it's hard to say if that's directly from the covid or just a consequence of said exhaustion.
Regrettably, work is instituting another round of mandatory overtime for the month of July. So that exhaustion is unlikely to improve.
In the category of small pleasures, though, it's finally the right time of year for the good grocery store to stock lemondrop melons. I buy a half dozen at a time. Which I could, if I didn't want to savor this short-lived treat, eat in a single sitting. So cold! So tart! So juicy!
Lewisia: 3 new pieces written
Gratitude journaling: 35 new entries
Tumblr queue: 28 posts added
Day job: 31.5, since Monday had been a holiday for us
Cooking: a big batch of chili, the way *I* like it even if no one else in the house does, which I could have happily eaten for another three months
Gardening: repotted the last of the plants I got at the show and sale
Reading: finished the audiobook of Truly, Devious, also finished Vanishing Stair (#2), started Hand on the Wall (#3), also started reading Joy Demorra's Hunger Pangs
Watching: started a rewatch of Leverage, which feels suitable for the current realities
