Done This Week
Oct. 23rd, 2022 09:02 amAverage daily word count ticked down a bit. Been struggling a little. Work has been more demanding, and I'm back to missing some of my breaks (aka writing time). Every weekend day, I say to myself, let's get the story written early so I don't have to stay up late. And every day, there ends up being this and that to carry on about, such that I do not start writing until evening. *sigh*
I haven't written anything for Teen Wolf, despite reading enough fic for it that it probably ranks right below MCU at this point. I have this whole handful of fandoms I read for that I still don't feel qualified to write for. Oddly, I haven't read that much Leverage fic, really, and yet found myself not hesitating in the slightest to write for it now.
I don't know what the alchemy is that happens in my head that makes me feel like I am "qualified" to write for one fandom and not another.
Lewisia: 6 new pieces written, so I'm all caught up again
Gratitude journaling: 35 new entries
Tumblr queue: 2 posts added--gonna stop tracking this, as I no longer have difficulty keeping organized on this and I'm losing track of what I tag and queue when to keep a count anyway
Day job: 42.75 hours, and I have a new trainee who is allegedly going to remain to be my long-term lackey, which is a very dubious privilege for me
Cooking: molasses ginger cookies that turned out exactly right
Gardening: started bringing plants into the house for the winter, as it is That Time again
Whumptober: 7 days completed, 7 day posted, 15255 words written
The Bedroom Project: remeasured to start setting the cutoff points for each color in the gradient, realized a) the slanted ceiling line was going to really make this difficult to lay out and b) my will to live was ebbing every time I thought about the project, revised plan, am now doing a deep green two-tone wall (to which I may eventually add a chair rail) a la Howl's bedroom in Howl's Moving Castle *drags hand down face* and actually BOUGHT THE PAINT--reminder, this is all getting done next weekend whilst I am on my Halloween vacation
