Also known as moss hedgehogs, these green spore-covered lumpkins made great low-maintenance pets. Slow-moving and long-lived, they are happiest in damp climates. However, they can survive hotter seasons by going dormant and will awaken, unharmed, as soon as they get adequate moisture. They bloom with microscopic white flower-like growths all over their backs, and breeding them is an easy home project.
