Done This Week

Spent the week feeling stunningly run down. Between the heat wave, the whole freezer/food situation, and too much work, I've just felt very physically unwell.

Which made it extra awkward to spend all day Saturday at the local Rennaissance Festival! Whoo! So much heat and sunlight and standing and walking! Gonna die! *muffled sobbing*

Actually, though, had a lovely time with work friends there. One of whom I spent the whole day wandering with, which we had both been looking forward to for months. (In fairness, it's probably silly to keep calling these people work friends. We're just friends. I'm just still getting used to the idea of having real local friends again.)

Watched knights beat the hell out of each other in the blazing sun. Returned to the shop I've bought jewelry at before and got two new rings (and conveniently determined my ring size for another I want to buy online). A stag head and a Damascus steel band, both of which look so damn good on me. Got a simple chainmail bracelet from another shop. Bought a couple of gifts for people as well. Once again was tempted by a mace (aka historical nail bat <3) and once again passed it up as being unacceptably low quality.

Lewisia: 1 new piece, plus another bonus piece written, so it'll be a catch-up week again...

Day job: 43.5 hours

Gardening: succulent club meeting

Listening: The Deep by clipping. (between KEXP sharing clipping. songs and another podcast talking about the scifi themes of this album in particular, this has been long on my list of albums to get, short but compelling)
