Done This Week
Aug. 20th, 2023 08:42 amTechnical note: my phone and internet have been down since Thursday, and they’re not even going to look into what’s wrong until Monday. So I’m operating off a mix of my cell phone and the wi-fi at work. I love inconvenience!
How was the week apart from lacking in internet? Let’s put it this way: on Friday, I didn’t get either of my normal breaks, and didn’t make it off the production floor at all until I had been there five hours, and yet that was the first genuinely decent day I had all week. Make of that what you will.
Lewisia: 3 new pieces, plus another bonus piece written
Day job: 43.25 hours, mostly spent beating my head against metaphorical brick walls
Cooking: biscuits for the club potluck
Gardening: succulent club meeting and summer potluck bbq
Reading: finished We Want It All, an anthology of radical trans poetics, which I regrettably enjoyed almost not at all, because I simply do not get the more aggressively abstract stuff
Listening: Kids by The Midnight (I love it so much, and I have to resist the urge to just binge buy every one of their albums immediately, if only because it’s good to save things to look forward to)
Aftermarket Parts: about 2k words toward various essays, because goodness, I got myself wound up this week
