Lake Lewisia #1023
Oct. 4th, 2023 03:55 pmMuch like a young leafcutter queen making her first flight, she left home with a small portion of fungus with which to establish her new life. In time, she would have others under her care, a foundling mother, and the fungus growing thick and luscious would be partner as much as sustenance. Unlike the leafcutter's crop, the fungus would feed not on carefully assembled leaf beds, but on the drywall and beams of an abandoned house, and it would support her growing kingdom in the form of carefully distilled potions sold for profit, but such are the vagaries of analogy and agriculture.
