It found him outside, alone and sad, showing all the signs of being friendless and unloved, so it followed him home. Oh, it did the responsible thing and sent out Found Human messages around the universe, waiting to see if anyone had lost him and was searching for him. In its core, though, it knew it would keep him, already imagining the fun they would have together once he got used to having a pan-dimensional entity taking care of him properly.
