Not all was straightforward, of course, when trying to create a community competition on such a scale in a place that frequently defied convention and categorization. The contestants argued over who got to use which workstation, each according to their superstitions or biological requirements or arcane preferences, and promptly warded and boobytrapped them against interference. The crew hired to clean up the workstations between challenges had to be granted magical permission and given PPE against poisons and explosions and curses, if they didn't already have them for the usual reasons.
