The Flock Has Landed

scrubjayspeaksAt long last, our ducklings have arrived! Three Rouen females, hatched on the 23rd. They are my flock of fucks. :D
Rouen is technically considered a meat breed, but they're not horrible layers, and they tend to have mellow, pleasant personalities. (They will also be fat little battleships when fully grown.) That was our main priority, with eggs as a tasty bonus.
For now, they'll be living in a dog kennel in the office. Once they get big enough, though, they will move into Fort Fucks, which we are in the process of building. Please understand, we have between us: an incomplete junior high education, an AA with a focus on veterinary medicine, and a BA in English. Math, engineering, and carpentry are Not Our Strong Suits. It's been...interesting.
The run is almost completed now; it just needs the human door installed.
