In time, they learned to share their space and cooperate to keep a home together, but in the beginning it was all mysterious snack disappearances and chores done wrong. They went through the possibilities of sleepwalking, carbon monoxide poisoning, and head trauma before calling in a witch. The realization they each had a roommate occupying a nearby parallel universe, with just enough overlap to let them drink the last of each other's milk, went a long way to soothing tempers and accounting for the previously inexplicable changes to the furniture arrangement.
