Done This Week

All our time off at work is scheduled for after the holidays, so this week was just a normal one, apart from all the people gone on PTO.
The engineers managed to systematically wreck my lifestyle--despite all being on holiday for the week, the flash bastards--and all the planning of the last two months has been rendered meaningless. Because, and this is entirely factual and would be hilarious if not for the resulting disruptions, they thought a robot could do the jobs of my (formerly-) fellow operators. They have been proven stunningly, resoundingly wrong about that.
I love robots. I just hate the humans who decide how to deploy them.
But now I'm looking at two short weeks in a row, and I bloody well plan to enjoy them. And in the meantime, I have come through the week undefeated by human folly. Booyah.
Lewisia: 3 new pieces written, January bonus finally fully drafted
Gratitude journaling: 35 new entries
Tumblr queue: 28 posts added
Day job: 42 hours, during which I hit the "sit for ten minutes in a quiet corner to get my temper under control" stage of enduring other people's stupidity, and also (and not entirely unrelatedly) during which I sustained my largest number of bruises to date
Cooking: chocolate crinkles (tasty but somehow not what I expected; it occurs to me I may have never eaten them before, despite wanting to make them), made pine needle tea for the first time (pleasant, if tedious due to the long steeping time)
Crafting: progress continues on the blanket, for which my knuckles mourn, made popcorn garlands for the birds (which were almost instantly dismantled down to the hulls, so mark that down as a success)
Gardening: picked up the plant I bought in the club auction, as well as a freebie and two additional purchases, repotted one
Other: dentist-based suffering...
Gifts received: a grill chimney (because my family can recognize a new obsession when I get one), a rolling pin with thickness gauges (to further enable my existing cookie-making fixation), and a heated blanket (for the warmz)
