For them, the town was a labyrinth, made up of streets that doubled back on themselves and floor plans that spiraled from room to room. It never mattered much that they had a terrible sense of direction, switching their lefts and rights, confusing easts and wests like a drunken sailor. The town folded its edges up around them, safe as a child's playpen, and nudged them in the correct direction once again.
