The Bedroom Redesign: Completed!

It's time to post the much-awaited (?) reveal of my finished room redesign! Ta-da! Two-tone green walls, custom-built shelving, and almost every inch of available wall space covered in art prints, and sculpture, and weapons. Below, a brief tour of some highlights and copious shout-outs:

The monochrome wall, featuring art by Heikala (who in fact now graces three out of four walls in my room), brush paintings by my friend that I've held onto since high school, and a couple other oddities. Cameo by my battle jacket (pins and patches courtesy of NerdyKeppie and Swinku, respectively).

The plush wall, featuring promotional posters from Pokemon through the years. Do I own too many plushies? No, fuck you, what kind of question is that? As tumblr-user queermasculine says, I'm embodying the ancient shepherd instinct to gather and protect small creatures, which is very sexy of me. The shelving has a nice little spot for my current books and charging my tablets, so +10 convenience.

This is my Wall of Bad-Assery! Featuring the Eddie-as-Justice tarot card art by ArsTyrannus. Also featuring the Mad Max: Fury Road art yarn I got from PrimaryBufferPanel years ago. Also also featuring some leather tiger claw gloves and the extremely extra dagger I bought when I was 14 and trying to be edgy.
This sits right above where I keep my work clothes laid out for the week, so the idea is that I can meditate each morning on the spirit of the Justice card: recognizing that-which-is as the necessary first step to ever fighting it, then arming myself up to do that. Also, fictional nerds with improvized explosives will never not improve my mood in general.
I've officially finished the bedroom project at this point. All my art is framed and hung, though quite a bit had to move to the office. (The shelving does a lot of good, but it did eliminate some valuable wall real estate. That's okay, because the office was looking rather barren apart from the scraggly plants overwintering in there.) I even touched up the paint in a few places after it got dinged up during the decorating process.
Maybe now I'll finish (start?) that quilt project. Or, you know, write for Lewisia. Or maybe I'll just sleep in my freakishly comfortable bed, watched over by art and weapons.
Let's go with that last option for now.
