It had taken the help of friends, and a medical support team, and a quantity of will she had not previously known she possessed, but she kicked the habit and got clean. Even years later, the smell of rotten eggs would send her mind spiraling back to the sulfurous fumes rising around her seat, leaving her speaking in tongues as she called her sponsor.
