Just submitted a story to a SF/F magazine. For the first time in...3 years. Yay! \o/

*runs from the room screaming*

AAAAAAAAH

EDIT: Aaand rejected in about 15 hours. D: Next target on the list doesn't open until Monday, so the story will go out again then. *sigh*

Thank you! I forced myself to start with the magazine I thought was ~too good for the likes of me~. Nothing like a little anxiety to spice up one's evening! XD

If it helps, I've seen it happen where some people are rejected in less time than it takes to order a pizza and get it delivered.

Well that is just delightful information. I choose to be impressed by the efficiency of whatever editor managed to do that.

As it is, it works out great--they gave me a quick response, so now the story is free to be submitted when the next place opens on Monday. I'm lucky to have been read and processed so promptly.
