Though no one ever enforced rules about entering the Buried Gardens, common practice indicated that a light source be taken inside, at the very least, and ey observed that practice. Ey abandoned it at the first curve of the tunnels and plunged into welcome darkness. With eir sensitive eyes and fluttering hands, weary of the world of light and noise above, ey went in search of anyone who could give em a home in the tunnels.
