At first, her chronic lateness annoyed people, but in time they simply resigned themselves to it, giving up on the tricks and cajolery they had employed to get her anywhere on time. She always tried to explain that she didn’t know where the time went, and the excuses came off false because she knew it was not the time alone that slipped away. Still, there was no explaining the dimensions she slid sideways into whenever she tried to get from point A to point B, a path that took her too long and through points L, Sienna, Blueberry, and ∞ before she got anywhere.
