As he laid out tools and rags, he commented in a stage whisper, "Sure would help to have a second set of hands." Shannon materialized at his side, twitchy and intent as a squirrel sighting an unattended picnic, with eyes no longer fixed on him but on the contents of his toolbox.

Today's Keyboard Smash

I've been working too hard. Really pushing to get this job done on time. And I'm getting support; it's not like they're dumping it all on my head. But it means on my breaks and when I get home, my brain is just goo.

I tried to think of something interesting to say for today. But all I can think about is how I learned the DIY recipes for honeycomb flooring AND walls in Animal Crossing. I want to make them so bad. I'm going to spend days running around, shaking trees in hopes of finding wasp nests. I got stung six times yesterday alone (I am trying to use my net to catch them/defend myself, but my timing was off every time). What a good and ridiculous hobby.

Have I mentioned I'm thinking of taking up beekeeping for real? I'm reading up on it. I am very intimidated. But I want a buzzy pet collective of my very own.

*eye cross* So tired...
