Today's Keyboard Smash
Aug. 20th, 2020 06:27 pmI survived another work week! My streak of not-dying remains unbroken! Yay! *lethargic pom-pom waving*
I severely confused a machine at work today. To be fair, even the engineers apparently barely understand the thing, which is both new and finicky. And I had been training on it for...oh, about four hours at that point. I didn't break it--let's be very clear about that. I just...input a wrong parameter. Consequently, it decided that the home position for its shuttle was about three miles down the road. Which is a real problem, since it's only on a 12-inch track. It--it tried to leave the room. The motor made some very sad noises when it discovered it couldn't. It's fine! All better now! Not broken at all. Just a bit confused.
I really want to go out and enjoy the garden--some of the pumpkins need to be picked as their vines die back--but the choking blanket of smoke makes that a bad idea. *sigh* I will content myself with making yogurt, I suppose.
