Overhead, here in the thickness of trees and boulders, birds whooped and skrawked in senseless conversation, even the melody stripped now from her perception. And she, alone at last in this blissful shelter beyond the weight of semantics, walked in silence, having left all her languages behind like so much unwanted luggage of an overburdened traveler.
