Those not living north of the Hawberry Flats area may be unaware, but a hyperlocalized thunderstorm has been ongoing over the 800 block of Hawberry Road since last Tuesday. Though formal monitoring did not begin until almost two days into the phenomenon, eyewitness reports suggest upwards of three hundred lightning strikes have hit in a twenty-acre stretch of field. While preliminary investigation has ruled out mad science as the cause, the source of the electrical discharges remains unknown, as do any long-term effects we can expect to deal with from repeatedly powering up a seemingly-empty bit of grassland.
