Today's Keyboard Smash
Jul. 13th, 2021 04:46 pm...omg, I've never seen anyone move that slowly between two machines. How. How are you going that slowly. How is it physically possible.
My fuse is now negative three inches long. I just spent every ounce of patience to my name on allowing my trainee to very slowly meander between the two machines that run in sync for this job. They aren't new! They have run this type of machine before! And yet! It was just...just the manufacturing equivalent of a leisurely Sunday drive.
I dance when I run this. I dance between the machines. I move so quick, I have to be careful not to preempt the end of the cycle. And I am not what anyone would call, ahem, light on my feet, okay? I could no more stand to move that slowly than stick my head in an anthill.
I am aware that I am being unreasonable and judgey and generally unpleasant. Which is why I did not allow any of these feelings to show, because I needed to be ~encouraging~. Which is why now, when I am home again, I have the charming disposition of an insomniac badger.
