Lake Lewisia #1056
Dec. 20th, 2023 02:41 pmWhen she bought the old house, charmingly derelict and overgrown, she had laid down rings of coyote urine granules and blood meal to fend off the deer and rabbits bent on ravaging what remained of the garden. The creeping, clinging climbing rose, attempting to engulf the whole eastern wing, seemed innocuous enough before the rest of the phenomenon made themselves known. By the time she was fending off weeping walls and possessed cutlery within the severely haunted house, she was only too willing to wash away the deterrents, throw open the garden gates, and invite the former pests in to resume their defense of her eastern flank.
