Emergency notice: zucchini has begun to ripen, which means our community must once again come together to deal with this yearly menace. This week's farmers' market will do double duty as a general produce exchange, where anyone from terrace herb dabblers to overzealous home gardeners can trade away excess produce (it doesn't all have to be zucchini, we promise) or arrange distribution to food banks. Remember: good gardeners share their produce with willing recipients, not unsuspecting neighbors with unguarded front porches.
